Logan Skori, Ph.D.

Logan Skori is the CEO of AgGene. With a background in grain farming and a PhD in plant developmental biology from the University of Calgary, Logan merges practical experience with scientific expertise to drive trait development and value creation on the farm. He was awarded a 2023 Top CEO by Seed World.

Logan Skori, Ph.D.

Mendel is AgGene's Lead Scientist and a 2022 PhD graduate from the University of British Columbia. Mendel combines practical farming experience with technical expertise in wetland ecology, plant biotechnology, and genome editing. Outside of work, Mendel enjoys photography, skiing, gardening, and spending time with his family.

Ethan Coates, M.Sc.

Ethan is a research scientist at AgGene, specializing in genome editing and plant transformation. Ethan obtained his Masters of Science degree at the University of Calgary, where he evaluated efficient genome editing designs in canola. Outside of work, Ethan enjoys hockey and maintaining his saltwater reef aquariums.

Rick is a board member for AgGene. Rick farms approximately 5,500 acres in Manitoba. He is a major stakeholder in a number of plant genetics companies including NorthStar Genetics. He is an experienced commercial seed grower and has extensive experience licensing traits from multinational seed portfolios.

Sarah Foster, B.Sc.

Sarah is a founder of AgGene. She is the owner and president of 2020 Seed Labs Inc. in Nisku, Alberta. Her company had the first internationally accredited seed testing lab in Canada.  Sarah has expertise in business development, regulatory affairs and registration of new seed varieties in Canada.
